Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can book directly with us — no GP referral required.
Can a GP diagnose ADHD?
Yes. GPs with appropriate training can assess and diagnose ADHD in adults. If your situation is complex, we’ll refer you to a psychiatrist or paediatrician.
How soon can I be seen, and how long until I get a diagnosis?
Usually within about two weeks. Appointments are typically available within two weeks of booking. The assessment is completed across two appointments — an initial consultation and a follow-up — and most patients have a diagnosis, plus a treatment plan where appropriate, within about two weeks of their first appointment.
Is this service covered by Medicare?
No. We’re a fully private, telehealth-only service, so no Medicare rebate applies. Medicare’s telehealth rules generally require a face-to-face appointment with the same GP in the previous 12 months.3 A 100% telehealth practice like ours can’t meet that requirement, so our consultations aren’t eligible for a Medicare rebate. All fees are shown upfront at the time of booking.
Can you prescribe ADHD medication?
Yes, where clinically appropriate. Medication is only prescribed following a comprehensive assessment and in line with Queensland Health requirements. Not all patients will require or be suitable for medication.
