Cost to diagnosis
Your assessment is two appointments — most patients need both.
What that covers
- Comprehensive DSM-5 assessment across home, work & study
- Full developmental & childhood history review
- Screening for co-existing conditions — anxiety, depression & more
- Other possible causes considered and ruled out
- Cardiovascular safety check, with test referrals
- Formal diagnosis & a personalised treatment plan
- Your first prescription, where appropriate
Consultation fees only. Blood test and ECG are done externally and usually bulk-billed (see below). No Medicare rebate applies. Final pricing is shown at booking.
From booking request to treatment
Two video appointments to diagnosis. Most patients go from first appointment to medication in under two weeks.
Request an appointment
Submit a booking request. Our team calls you to confirm a time and sends your intake forms.
Intake forms
- ADHD symptom screener (ASRS) and a heart-health questionnaire.
- Childhood History Form completed by someone who knew you before age 12 — usually a parent — or primary-school reports if no one is available.
Initial Assessment
- Current symptoms and how they affect work, relationships and daily life.
- Childhood history, medical history and screening for conditions that can look like or sit alongside ADHD.
- Referrals for a blood test and ECG before medication can be considered.
Tests & childhood history
- Blood test and ECG — we send the referrals, and both can be done at a pathology collection centre near you. Not every centre does ECGs, so book that ahead.
- Childhood History Form returned, or primary-school reports if no one is available.
Follow-Up Assessment💊 Medication typically starts here*
- Review of your results, questionnaires and childhood history against DSM-5 criteria.
- Diagnosis confirmed — or an explanation of why the criteria are not met.
- Treatment options discussed and medication started where clinically appropriate. Complex cases may need an extra appointment.
Medication Reviews
- Monthly during dose adjustment, then every 3–6 months once stable.
- Symptom and side-effect check, dose adjustments and script renewals.
* Where clinically appropriate. Depending on complexity, diagnosis and medication can take one or two follow-up assessments.
