ADHD Assessment in Brisbane – Telehealth for Adults

Written by SophieUpdated 12 October 2026

In short: Adults in Brisbane can get an ADHD assessment by telehealth with a Queensland GP — no referral and no travel. Since the December 2025 reform, trained Queensland GPs can diagnose and treat adult ADHD.2 The full assessment is two video appointments.

Can I get an ADHD assessment in Brisbane?

Yes. Because our assessments are 100% telehealth, you can be seen from anywhere in Greater Brisbane — the CBD and inner suburbs, the northside out to Chermside and the Moreton Bay region, the southside out to Logan, the western suburbs out to Ipswich, and the Redlands — without travelling to a clinic. You don’t need a referral.

How it works

The assessment follows the standard Queensland GP pathway:

  • Book online — no referral needed.
  • Complete your intake at home — validated questionnaires (the ASRS), your history, and childhood information.
  • Two telehealth appointments — an initial assessment and a follow-up where diagnosis is confirmed and treatment started if appropriate.

Blood tests and ECG in Brisbane

Any blood tests or ECG needed before medication are done at a pathology collection centre near you — in Brisbane that’s typically QML Pathology or Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. Blood tests are usually bulk-billed. Not every collection centre does ECGs, so check when you book.

Why telehealth works in Brisbane

Getting across Brisbane for a clinic appointment — traffic, parking, time off work — can take longer than the appointment itself. With telehealth you see an experienced Queensland GP by video from home or work, which helps if ADHD already makes appointments and logistics hard.

Not sure if you have ADHD?

Start with our free ADHD test (the 18-question ASRS self-assessment) to see whether your symptoms warrant a formal assessment. You can also compare your ADHD assessment options in Queensland.
